Do you know the difference between PU leather and PVC leather?
What is the difference between PU leather and PVC leather? Both types of leather are synthetic leather, commonly referred to as artificial leather or imitation leather.
Both PU leather and PVC leather are polyvinyl chloride, but they are made differently.
Let me talk about PVC leather first:
When making PVC leather, it should be hot-melted and stirred with plastic particles to form a paste, and evenly coated on the T/C knitted fabric base according to the specified thickness, and then enter the foaming furnace for foaming, so that it can be more adaptable to different products and different products. According to the softness requirements, surface treatment is carried out at the same time as being out of the oven. Surface treatment includes dyeing, embossing, polishing, matting, and fluffing on the polished surface, etc., which are mainly carried out according to specific requirements.
Then talk about PU leather:
The manufacture of PU leather is more complicated than that of PVC leather, because the PU leather base fabric is a canvas PU material with good tensile strength, which can not only be coated on the bottom, but also include the bottom in the middle, so that the appearance of the base fabric is invisible. exist. Compared with PVC, the physical properties of PU leather are better, with air permeability, bending resistance, good softness and good tensile strength.
In addition, in terms of price, the price of PU leather is twice as high as that of PVC leather, and the price of some PU leather with special requirements is two to three times higher.
The pattern paper used in PU leather can only be scrapped after four to five times of use, and the service life of the second pattern roller is long, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.
The above is the difference between the two.
