Learn to correctly distinguish PU leather from genuine leather!
How to distinguish PU leather from genuine leather? Methods as below:
One: touch
By touching the surface of the leather with your hands, if it is smooth (except for leather with a coarse grained surface) and soft, plump, and elastic, it means that it is genuine leather. If it feels dry and inelastic to the touch (it will be soft even if it is done better), but the surface gloss of the leather is oily and shiny, it is PU leather.
Two: Observation
Different by observing. The real leather is made of animal fur, and there are irregular pores and patterns on the surface, and the lines are not repeated; the pores of PU leather after pressing are relatively small, and the state is uniform and the lines are relatively single.
Three: Smell
The smell of genuine leather has a warm smell of animal hair, strong but not pungent, while PU leather has a pungent smell of plastic.
Four: Experiment
Compare these two leathers by lighting them. The smell of genuine leather is similar to the smell of hair after being burned, and can be crushed into powder with your fingers; PU leather will produce a pungent smell when burned, and will form pimples after burning.
So we can try the above methods.
